Position Description:

You will initially be part of our Department of Customer Project Management and based in Seoul, Korea.

As Country Manager in Korea you oversee the activities of the team working with Korean customers and represent them to all stakeholders. You are part of the CPM Management Team and contribute to our internal projects and initiatives.
Our team working with Korean customers consists of Solution Engineers (technical pre-sales), Field Engineers and Customer Support Engineers and Project Leaders. The team handles projects for Korea-based customers from the pre-sales to the production/maintenance phase. The team members are located in Korea and in Germany, and they report to the team leaders of the relevant professional area. Your role is to maintain oversight of our activities related to Korean customers and contribute to the development of our Korean presence.

This role requires an energetic and motivated individual who works well in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the main strategic representative of Cinemo towards our customers and partners in Korea
  • Oversee our activities in Korea
  • Contribute to the development and growth of our business with Korean customers and partners
  • Assist the team in managing escalations and be the second escalation point for Korean projects
  • Participate in the recruitment of team members based in Korea
  • Ensure that Cinemo processes are followed 
  • Contribute to improving our processes in the department
  • Maintain and manage good collaboration and relationship with Cinemo’s customers in Korea, representing the team and taking care of Cinemo’s interests in relation to the management of customer projects from cradle to grave 
  • Manage the Korea office and ensure that Cinemo colleagues have support and a good work environment

Experience & Skills:

  • College/university degree
  • Understanding of software engineering processes with complex technical issues
  • Significant experience in field/solution/SW engineering in the automotive industry (OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers) in Korea, in a senior customer-facing role
  • Significant line management experience in a technical environment 
  • Experience with infotainment projects 
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work under minimal supervision 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for efficient collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and for managing the team members 
  • Well-organised with high attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in English and Korean
